When I first set up housekeeping on my own, I had a set of blue and white Currier and Ives stoneware, which I dearly loved.  Those dishes are long gone but the memory of them still conjures a warm feeling of home.

My Heart and Home Quilt is made from thrift-store shirts with machine embroidered bluework. While shopping at the thrift-store, I happened upon a vintage over-blouse made of white heavy-weight eyelet cotton fabric. Just what was needed for the snowy front yards of this little village!
